Following their narrow 3–2 win on Saturday, the Lady Hawks kept their momentum going on Sunday. Despite playing with only two lines, the Villach side took the lead in the 16th minute through Klaudie Pietraszova. A quick double strike from Liga Miljone extended the advantage to a comfortable 3–0 by the end of the opening period. Shortly before the second intermission, Pietraszova added her second goal—once again on the power play—to make it 4–0. The Polish visitors tried everything to close the gap but couldn’t mount a comeback. With the 6–2 victory, the Lady Hawks climbed to fifth place in the EWHL standings.

A day after their win in Graz, MAC Budapest fell 1–3 to the Highlanders. The Styrian team thus got off to a successful start in the new year and rose to fourth place in the table. Nina Rainer opened the scoring for the hosts—who also had only two lines available—with the lone goal of the first period. The visitors equalized early in the second, but Rainer restored the lead for the Highlanders. The game remained tight until the end, when Sara Confidenti sealed the win with an empty-netter in the final minute.
