After Rostislav Chada had to leave, iClinic Bratislava Capitals has found a new head coach in Peter Draisaitl, father of the reigning NHL MVP Leon Draisaitl. The 54-year-old German with Czech roots was in charge of HC Kosice in the past season, before that he had worked for the Kölner Haie in the DEL. Between 2012 and 2017 he was also coaching in the Czech Extraliga for five seasons. Impressive was also his playing career, which he spent exclusively in Germany: In 1995, he scored twelve playoff goals for the DEL title with Kölner Haie and overall 780 points in the highest German division. He also played in three Olympic Games and seven World Championships. This gave him a place in the German Hockey Hall of Fame too.

"We are happy that Peter Draisaitl will be in charge of our team. He is a coach who is known for his professionalism and great commitment and has a wealth of experience from which our team will benefit enormously," said Dušan Pašek.
