On Monday Peter Mennel has been unanimously re-elected  as Erste Bank Eishockey Liga president at the General Assembly in Salzburg. After taking over this function in 2013, the 62 year-old starts into his second four-year term now.

Peter Mennel has been unanimously re-elected  as president of Erste Bank Eishockey Liga. The 62 year-old who took over this function in 2013 heads into his second four-year term. "Four years ago we set many goals and have achieved a lot". The president gave thanks for the trust in him of all clubs: "Trust is an essential component for the league's positive progress and a good work. I'm very pleased that I have been unanimously re-elected ". The vice-presidents Dr. Karl Safron and Dr. René Dimter have also been re-elected while Dr. Dieter Knoll joins the presidium. The CEO of HCB Südtirol Alperia represents the international teams as third vice-president.
 
Beside some formal points on the agenda, a technical update in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga arenas was decided. "There will be a second camera for highlight productions and we've also came to a decision in some other points that will be positive for the league's development. We will be dealing intensively with stats as I'm not satisfied at the moment. But I'm very confident that we will improve for the future."
