Peter Schneider with second-fastest brace in league history

In EC Red Bull Salzburg's 5:3 away win against EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV last Friday, Peter Schneider scored two goals within eight seconds. It was the second-fastest brace by a player in league history. However, the record for the fastest brace remains with Gerhard Unterluggauer, who scored two goals in just six seconds for Innsbruck on October 9, 2005.

In the game in Villach, Schneider scored after exactly 13 minutes and 59 seconds to make it 1:0. Just eight seconds after the game resumed, the 33-year-old scored again, setting not only the fastest brace of the current win2day ICE Hockey League season, but also the second-fastest in the entire history of the league.

Gerhard Unterluggauer is on top
Gerhard Unterluggauer needed only six seconds between his two goals for Innsbruck against the KAC on October 9, 2005 and thus holds the record for the fastest brace in league history. The defenseman scored the goals to make it 2:2 and 3:2 in a 5:3 away win for the Tyroleans. Žiga Pance, who scored two goals in ten seconds for HCB Südtirol Alperia against Innsbruck on December 7, 2014, is in third place. Right behind him is Jiri Hala (G99), who only needed eleven seconds to score two goals against the KAC on February 25, 2005. The fifth-fastest brace in league history was scored by Danny Bois (VIC) on September 18, 2015 against Znojmo (12 seconds).
