Philipp Lindner previously played for the sharks from 2016 to 2019. He then moved to Graz for two years before spending a total of five seasons with VSV. With the Eagles, the defenseman was a reliable presence and a key leader, serving as assistant captain and at times even as captain in recent years. The 30-year-old has appeared in 436 games in the win2day ICE Hockey League.

Philipp Lindner: “It always feels good to return to where your heart and family are. Something has been building in Innsbruck over the past few years, and I want to be part of it. On the ice, my goal is to be a key contributor. In the locker room, I will take on whatever role is needed. I’m new and have to adapt. I’m really looking forward to our fans. They’ve given so much over the last two years—now it’s time to give something back.”

Lukas Schreier moves to Villach
Lukas Schreier is making his first move outside the Red Bull organization and is heading to Villach. The Salzburg native completed his entire hockey development in Salzburg and spent all his professional years with the Red Bulls, winning the win2day ICE Hockey League four times. The 26-year-old can play both forward and defense, but is primarily expected to be used on defense with VSV.

Lukas Schreier: “For me, this is a huge opportunity, as it’s the first time I’ll be playing outside the Red Bull organization. I’m especially excited to play in front of the great fans in Villach. My goals for the upcoming season are clear: we want to win as many games as possible and improve every day from the very first day in August. I want to help the team with my energy, determination, and daily work.”

Graz extends four imports
The Moser Medical Graz99ers announced contract extensions for four import players. Defenseman Frank Hora, along with forwards Kevin Conley, Josh Currie, and Kevin Roy, will remain with the reigning champions of the win2day ICE Hockey League.
