After it recently became official that Herbert Jerich will take over as President of the Moser Medical Graz99ers from Jochen Pildner-Steinburg at the end of the season, a new appointment has now also been made in the sporting area: Philipp Pinter, himself a player for the Styrians between 2014 and 2016, will be the new Sports Director from May 2024. According to the press release, general manager Bernd Vollmann will continue to be responsible for the "financial area".

"It's the next step in my career and I'm proud to have been given this opportunity. I will start evaluating things immediately and hold initial talks. The plan is to build something long-term and successful step by step. Graz should once again become an important ice hockey location. It will be important to build a good Austrian core and a new culture with a corresponding playing identity so that we can play ice hockey successfully," said Pinter in an initial statement.
