Pietroniro brothers back in the league

Hafro Cortina Hockey announced the signing of Kris Pietroniro. In addition, his brothers Chad and Massimo Pietroniro have joined HC Meran/o. Several other clubs have also announced transfer decisions in recent days.

Defenceman Kris Pietroniro came to Italy in 2021 and played two years with Fassa Falcons. Last season, the 23-year-old was under contract with win2day ICE Hockey League side HCB Südtirol Alperia and also played a few games for HC Meran/o. Kris Pietroniro has gained 42 points in 77 Alps Hockey League games. In addition, the club extended the contracts with Riccardo Lacedelli and Gabriele Parini.

Jayson Ren joins the EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel. The 21-year-old forward last played with EHC Winterthur in the Swiss League. For the native of Switzerland it is his first club abroad.

The Hockey Club Gardena signed Canadian defender Karter Prosofsky. For the 20-year-old, Gherdeina is the first stop in Europe. In the last seasons he played in the North American WHL.

Chad and Massimo Pietroniro have joined HC Meran/o. The 28-year-old Chad, who comes from EIHL side Cardiff, has already played five Alps Hockey League seasons with Asiago and Hafro Cortina Hockey. The 21-year-old Massimo also knows the league from one season with the Fassa Falcons. In addition, Daniel Gellon stays with the club.

League newcomer KHL Sisak signed 20-year-old Croatian Karlo Marinković who last played with Jesenice. In the 2023/24 season the forward was on the ice in 11 AHL games. The league newcomer also added Canadian Carson Brière to their roster. The forward last played in France , where he was a teammate of Vilim Rosandic, who also joined Sisak. The Croatian side also has extended the contract with Niko Cavlovic.

Josef Flick is the last new addition for EK Zeller Eisbären. The 19-year-old defender moves from cooperation club spusu Vienna Capitals to Zell am See for the coming season.

Four players are staying with Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan as Johannes Gschnitzer, Connor Sanvido, Bryson Cianfrone and Alessio Niccolai signed contract extensions.

Marcel Wohlmuth is entering his second season with EC Bregenzerwald. The defenceman previously played in the youth team of HC TIWAG Innsbruck and for three years in Sweden. Last season, the 22-year-old made 23 AHL appearances.
