BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg - Bietigheim Steelers 3:2
After the 3:0 win against Freiburg, the Pioneers faced Bietigheim in the second test. The Steelers got off to a furious start and led 2:0 after just 90 seconds, but the home side equalised in the first period with goals from Jack Jacome and Aron Summer. After a goalless middle period, in which the DEL representatives set the tone for long stretches, the Vorarlbergers took the lead for the first time in the 48th minute through Patrick Spannring. Thanks to strong defensive work, the Pioneers held on to the narrow lead and celebrated their second preseason win.

Augsburg Panthers - EC Red Bull Salzburg 7:2 (4:0, 0:2, 3:0)
EC Red Bull Salzburg lost their friendly match against the Augsburg Panthers with 2:7. In their last preseason game, the young Salzburg team was already behind by four goals after the first period at the Bavarian DEL team. In the meantime, the Salzburgers fought their way back to 2:4. In the 38th minute, Thomas Raffl scored Salzburg's first goal on the first power play with a beautiful lob under the crossbar. Less than two minutes later Lucas Thaler hit the puck out of the air after a rebound into the net and brought the Red Bulls back to within two goals. However, the Red Bulls clearly lost out in the final period after conceding two more early goals.

Steinbach Black Wings Linz - HC Motor České Budějovice 1:4 (0:1, 0:1, 1:2)
With the first test match exactly seven days ago still fresh in their minds, both teams fought hard in the early stages. In the 16th minute, the visitors from Budweis took the lead in front of almost 1,000 spectators. Linz goalie Rasmus Tirronen was able to distinguish himself several times in the middle period, but he was helpless in the 28th minute when the score was 0:2. In the third period it was Shawn St-Amant who scored for the home side when they were shorthanded. However, it remained the only goal of the Upper Austrians, who had to admit defeat with 1:4.

Nürnberg Ice Tigers - HC Pustertal 5:3 (1:1, 3:1, 1:1)
Only two days after the victory against ERC Ingolstadt, the HC Pustertal cracks met the Nuremberg Ice Tigers, the second DEL team, in the Vinschgau Cup. After the Germans took the lead in the sixth minute, Olivier Archambault scored the equaliser after a beautiful individual performance. In the middle period, the DEL team dominated and took the lead again. This time, however, it was Marc-Olivier Roy who made it 2:2 after an Archambault assist. Nevertheless, Nuremberg pulled ahead to 4:2 by the time the siren sounded for the break, and shortly after the restart, the DEL team even increased the lead. The last goal of the game was scored by Aaron Luchuk from close range.

HCB Südtirol Alperia - ERC Ingolstadt 2:3 (0:1, 1:1, 1:1)
In the second game of the day at the Vinschgau Cup, HCB Südtirol Alperia faced ERC Ingolstadt. The game started very fast and although Bolzano had the better chances at first, the Germans scored the only goal in the opening period. After the restart, HCB missed a number of opportunities until Brad McClure completed a dream combination in the 28th minute. But just a few minutes later, the South Tyroleans conceded the 1:2 during their own power play. In the third period, Bolzano used another power play to equalise: Dalhuisen first hit the bar with a powerful shot, then Mitch Hults scored with a volley to make it 2:2. One minute before the end, however, the cold shower followed again and it was 3:2 for Ingolstadt.
