Josh Passolt achieved his personal best points total last season. In 65 games for the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Vancouver Canucks, he scored 25 goals and made 27 assists for a total of 52 points. This made him his team's second-best scorer. Pioneers Head Coach Dylan Stanley describes Passolt as a “high level forward” and adds: “Scoring 25 goals in two consecutive seasons is a very good sign. His skill set is a perfect fit for our organization. It's just the right time for Josh to enter the European hockey market.”

David Keefer, who played professional hockey for the first time last season after his time at Northern Michigan University, also comes to Vorarlberg with strong performances. He teamed up with Josh Passolt for 17 goals and 31 assists for 48 points. “He's a right-handed forward, which gives us additional creativity on offense,” said Dylan Stanley. “We're very happy to get the two of them as a duo. They know exactly what makes each other tick, which will give us another advantage on top of their individual skills.”

Christian Bull moves to Sweden
In addition to the new additions, the Pioneers also announced a departure. Norwegian defenseman Christian Bull will leave the club after two years and joins Tingsryds AIF from the Swedish second division.
