Nathan Burke comes from Scottsdale, Arizona and, at 1.88 metres tall and weighing 86 kilograms, has the necessary physicality for European ice hockey. Last season, the left winger set a franchise record for the most game-winning goals (8) for the Indy Fuel (ECHL) - he scored a total of 22 goals and 17 assists in the regular season. As an integral part of the Indy Fuel's first power play formation, Burke was a central figure in his team's PP game. He also made eleven appearances in the AHL - the second-highest North American league - (3 goals, 2 assists). His ability to set the tone in the build-up play as well as in finishing makes him a complete offensive player.

Pioneers head coach Johannes Nygard: "Right from the start of the recruitment process, we had the feeling that Nathan would be a perfect fit for us, both athletically and personally. He is an extremely versatile forward - a strong skater with good puck control who also brings size and fighting spirit to our team."

Marchetti stays in Bolzano
Michele Marchetti has extended his contract with HCB Südtirol Alperia. The 30-year-old is considered a robust and physically strong forward with an excellent shot, which he also proved last season when he scored seven goals despite limited ice time. "It's always special to play in Bolzano, in front of an incredible crowd. I'm happy to be able to continue wearing this jersey and to give my all to achieve the season's goals. The expectations are high and the squad is competitive - we have everything we need to be successful. I'm motivated and ready to give 110% and can't wait to get back on the ice at the Sparkasse Arena," said Marchetti.
