Kevin Macierzynski moved from VEU Feldkirch to the Black Wings Linz in 2012 and was most recently playing for the Dornbirn Bulldogs. The 29-year-old brings with him the experience of 456 ICE games and has also made appearances for the Austrian national team. "I just like the vision for the future, that they want to build something new here and that's why I was in right away," said Maczierzynski, who scored 49 goals and dished 91 assists in his career.

Alexander Pallestrang, a reigning champion, joins the Pioneers Vorarlberg from EC Red Bull Salzburg. The 32-year-old Vorarlberg native started his hockey career in Hard and joined VEU Feldkirch at the age of 15. His first stop was the Black Wings Linz, before he moved to Salzburg for 12 seasons, where he developed into a top defender. With 750 games in which he recorded 165 points (19G|126A), he brings immense experience to the Pioneers Vorarlberg team. "I'm very happy that Feldkirch has back hockey on highest level. There closes a circle for me now in terms of playing. I played with VEU Feldkirch in the junior team and now I'm back as a key player," said Alexander Pallestrang.

Patrick Spannring, 31, from Vorarlberg, completes the trio: the Dornbirn-born forward spent his junior years with EHC Lustenau and Dornbirn. With 462 league games with the Black Wings Linz and EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV, he also brings valuable experience to the team. He celebrated his greatest success in 2012 with winning the title in Linz. He moves to Feldkirch from HC Thurgau (5G|9A) in the Swiss League.
