Roberts Bukarts, 35, arrives in Feldkirch from the Czech Extraliga, where he most recently suited up for HC Vítkovice and was a regular member of the Latvian national team. The right winger is brought in as a response to the season-ending injury of Nathan Burke and is expected to boost the team’s offensive punch, add scoring threat on the wing, and help improve the power play. If everything goes according to plan, Bukarts could make his debut in the upcoming road game in Linz.

Michael Kernberger, 28, strengthens the Pioneers’ defensive unit. The Klagenfurt native came up through the EC KAC system and has logged more than 300 games in Austria’s top tier. Following four seasons in Graz and a short stint with the Black Wings Linz, the reliable two-way defenseman brings experience and stability to the blue line. Kernberger is expected to arrive in Feldkirch shortly and could see game action very soon.
