Olimpija Ljubljana - EC Red Bull Salzburg
The intense win2day ICE Hockey League weekend kicks off on Friday at 18:00. Olimpija Ljubljana, without a win in five games, will host defending champions EC Red Bull Salzburg, who are unbeaten in seven games across all competitions. Both teams are facing each other for the first time this season. Last season, the Red Bulls won all four duels, but twice only after overtime or shootout. Salzburg are now in third place in the table, while Ljubljana is only in seventh place. On Wednesday, the Slovenians lost 1:3 in Graz, while RBS beat the Pioneers 5:1 at home.

spusu Vienna Capitals - HC TIWAG Innsbruck
While Vienna was not in action on Wednesday, Innsbruck celebrated an important 4:3 home win against EC-KAC. It was the twelfth-placed team's first win after regulation time since November 1, when they also beat Klagenfurt (4:1 @KAC). The Capitals slipped to eleventh place in the table and are three points ahead of the HCI. In the first duel of the season, Vienna clearly prevailed 5:2 in Tyrol.

Steinbach Black Wings Linz - HC Pustertal
The “hottest” team in the league from Linz has now been unbeaten for seven games. On Wednesday, they beat the back then league leaders Fehérvár 4:3. Player of the match was Brian Leber with a brace and an assist. With twelve goals this season, the 36-year-old is now the sole top goalscorer in the win2day ICE Hockey League. The Black Wings are still in fifth place in the table. Pustertal lost 2:3/OT to Asiago on Wednesday and has now been waiting for a win for six games. The South Tyroleans are now only eighth in the table. In the first duel of the season with Linz, the “Wolves” were beaten 2:4 in front of their home crowd.

Pioneers Vorarlberg - Moser Medical Graz99ers
In the game between Vorarlberg and Graz, the team at the bottom of the table (PIV) meets the team in fourth place (G99). Both teams are already separated by 21 points. The Pioneers have been waiting for a win for three games now, losing 1:5 in Salzburg on Wednesday, while the 99ers beat Ljubljana 3:1 at home and celebrated their first win after two consecutive defeats. In the first duel of the season with the Pioneers, the Styrians clearly prevailed 7:1 at home.

Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey - EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV
Asiago certainly do not have fond memories of Villach. On November 3, the Italians lost 2:10 in Carinthia, conceding four goals in the first and last periods alone. It was VSV's fifth win over Asiago in a row and their eighth success in their ninth ICE encounter. The “Eagles” have been waiting for a win for two games now. On Wednesday, however, they were only narrowly beaten at home by league leaders Bolzano 1:2/SO. Asiago are in good form, with three wins in a row. Both teams have 24 points in the table, which puts them ninth (VSV) and tenth (ASH).

HCB Südtirol Alperia - EC-KAC
The top game of the 23rd round will be played between league leaders Bolzano and sixth-placed EC-KAC. The South Tyroleans have won all of their last three games and have thus moved past Fehérvár in the table. They are currently ahead of the Hungarians thanks to their better goal difference. The KAC are already twelve points behind the South Tyroleans. Klagenfurt lost 3:4 in Innsbruck on Wednesday, their first defeat after three wins in a row and their first away loss after regular time since October 6. In the first duel of the season with Bolzano, the KAC were clearly beaten 2:7 at home.

Hydro Fehérvár AV19 - HC TIWAG Innsbruck
In the first of three Saturday games, Fehérvár will face Innsbruck. While the Hungarians will not be in action on Friday, Innsbruck will play their second game within 24 hours. The Tyroleans will play in Vienna on Friday. Fehérvár are level on points with Bolzano in second place in the table ahead of Friday's games. They lost 3:4 at home to Linz on Wednesday, but before that they had won four of their last five games. In the first duel of the season with Innsbruck, AVS clearly won 4:0 away from home.

Pioneers Vorarlberg - EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV
The Pioneers and Villach will face each other for the second time this season on Saturday. In the first meeting in Villach, the home side prevailed 5:3.

HCB Südtirol Alperia - Moser Medical Graz99ers
In the third and final game on Saturday, Bolzano faces Graz. A close game is to be expected in the game from the top half of the table. In the first duel of the season, Bolzano narrowly prevailed 3:2 away from home. It was the South Tyroleans' ninth win over the Styrians in a row.
