Polar Bears won derby at Salzburg

EK Zeller Eisbären got a 4:2-win at Red Bull Hockey Juniors and leads now with the maximum of nine points the ranking in the Alps Hockey League. The Polar Bears were back 1:2 after 40 minutes, but turned the game with three late goals. Three from four goals EKZ scored in Power Play.

From the start the fans in the Mozart City saw a fast derby between the Red Bull Hockey Juniors and EK Zeller Eisbären. Both teams produced some good chances, but it needed a Power Play for the Polar Bears to score the first goal: Defenseman Martin Oraze was successful with a big shot under the crossbar. In period 2 the Polar Bears took to many penaltys and this was punished be the Red Bull Hockey Juniors, who turned the game with goals from Carl Zimmermann and Dario Winkler. In period 3 it were the host, who were sent into the Penalty box several times. This was now punished by the guests from Zell am See: With two 5-on-3-Power Play goals from Tapio (44.) and Vala (53.) the "Pinzgauer" turned the game around. And late in the game Tapio even added the 4:2.
