The spusu Vienna Capitals won the "Adam Comrie Memorial" 7:3. With a friendly match the two teams commemorated Adam Comrie, who tragically died in an accident a month ago and who scored the championship winning goal for the KAC in 2019. All proceeds will go to the Adam Comrie Foundation, which was founded by his family to support organizations that were important to the defender throughout his life, even after his death. At the family's special request, the money raised will be used locally in Austria to support institutions that focus on the mental and physical well-being of children.

About the game: The hosts from Vienna started the match much better and after 13 minutes led 3-0 through goals from Marco Richter, Benjamin Nissner and Alexander Cijan. Manuel Ganahl shortened the lead even in the first period. The Viennese remained the more efficient team even at the beginning of the middle third. Ty Loney set the score to 4:1 in 22nd minute, before Nick Petersen and Lukas Haudum made the game close again. Rafael Rotter, however, immediately had an answer at hand and set the score at 5:3 still in the second period. In the final period Alexander Cijan scored two more goals to make the final decision.

Petri Matikainen, Head Coach EC-KAC: "It was a bad game from our side, but maybe just at the right time in the middle of the pre season. We didn't get our fighting spirit on the ice today, so we failed already because of basic principles and not just because of our own mistakes or tactical problems. We were soft and sloppy, got the momentum back in the second period, but lost clearly in the end. All in all an instructive experience for our team."

Black Wings prevailed against Budweis
Less than 24 hours after the close 3:4 defeat against Madeta Motor České Budêjovice offered the Black Wings 1992 in the domestic LinzAG Eisarena the opportunity for revenge. In front of around 600 spectators, the Black Wings delivered a strong game. In the 4:2 victory, Neo-Head Coach Pierre Beaulieu's squad showed stability in defense and efficiency in front of goal. The goals were scored by Stefan Gaffal, Andreas Kristler, Charles-David Beaudoin and Juha-Pekka Hytönen.

Premier victory of EC Red Bull Salzburg against Munich
EC Red Bull Salzburg won the second pre season game against EHC Red Bull Munich at home with 5:2 and celebrated the first ever victory against the Munich team. In the Salzburg ice arena, which was sold out with 800 spectators, the Salzburgers took a 3:1 lead right from the start which they were able to extend consistently to the final score of 5:2. Justin Schütz celebrated a hat-trick, the other two Salzburg goals were scored by Paul Huber and John Hughes.

VSV celebrates 4-0 victory over Pustertal
The "Eagles" acted against the the HC-Pustertal with very high speed and aggressive ice hockey from the beginning. Scott Kosmachuk and Maximilian Kammerer set the score to 2:0 in the starting third. In the second period it didn't take long until the first goal celebration: Martin Urbanek set the score to 3-0 with a placed shot, while captain Jamie Fraser ensured the final score of 4-0 in the middle third.

99ers lose against Slovan Bratislava
The Moser Medical Graz99ers had to admit defeat to the top team from Bratislava by a narrow margin of 0:2. The 99ers kept up with their opponent over longer distances, but struggled with the efficiency infront of the goal. Head coach Doug Mason put his trust in Felix Nussbacher in today's game between the posts. The 99ers also had to play without Parker MacKay, Daniel Oberkofler and Dominik Grafenthin. Nussbacher and the 99ers-defense did not allow any goals until the 30th minute. However, one goal each in the middle third and one goal in the final period of Slovan sealed the 0:2 defeat.
