Preseason: Defeat for Pioneers | Bolzano without problems

Two teams from the win2day ICE Hockey League played preseason games on Tuesday. The BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg were defeated by the GCK Lions from Switzerland with 1:4. Runner-up HCB Südtirol Alperia had no problems, beating the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers from the Alps Hockey League with 6:3.

Pioneers lost against the Lions
The BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg suffered their first defeat in their second test match. After the 3:1 victory against the Ravensburg Towerstars, the Vorarlberg team was defeated 1:4 by the GCK Lions on Tuesday. Luka Maver scored the only goal for PIV. The next test match of the Pioneers will be against the EHC Freiburg from the DEL2 next Sunday. Before that, the team presentation will take place on Saturday afternoon at the Messepark Feldkirch.

Fourth victory for Bolzano
Runner-up HCB Südtirol Alperia continues to play a flawless preseason. The Foxes won 6:3 against the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers on Tuesday and celebrated already the fourth victory in the fourth game. HCB's goals were scored by Brad McClure, who scored twice, Pascal Brunner, Scott Valentine, Enrico Miglioranzi and Leonardo Felicetti.

Next games for Bolzano will be at the South Tyrol Summer Classic presented by Sparkasse. On Friday, August 25 at 20:00., the host will face the Straubing Tigers from the DEL. On Sunday, August 27, it's finally about the tournament victory, or the third place. The HC Slovan Bratislava and the EHC Fribourg-Gotteron are the other participants.
