Preseason: Ljubljana wins ICE-internal duel

On Friday, five teams of the win2day ICE Hockey League played further preseason games for the upcoming season. In the one league-internal duel HK SZ Olimpija won 5-2 against Moser Medical Graz99ers. There was also a win for the spusu Vienna Capitals, which defeated DEL team Straubing Tigers 3-2 after a shootout. Hydro Fehérvár AV19 and BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg had to accept losses.

HK SZ Olimpija won its fourth preseason game in a row: The Slovenians won 5-2 at home against league rival Moser Medical Graz99ers, which spared Gustav Bouramman and Michael Schiechl. After 35 minutes, the "Dragons” had a 4-goal lead. For Graz it was the third defeat in the fourth preseason game.

The spusu Vienna Capitals also celebrated a win, beating German side Straubing Tigers 3-2 after penalty shootout in Zell am See and thus celebrated their second victory in the current preseason. Rok Ticar and Hampus Eriksson scored for the Caps after trailing in the first period. Ticar's penalty secured the win later on.

No wins for Fehérvár and Feldkirch
Hydro Fehérvar AV19 still has to wait for its first win in the running preseason, as the Hungarians lost on the road to HC Nove Zamky (SVK) with 2-3. Both goals of the Hungarians, which were trailing 0-3 after the first period, were scored by newcomer and former Innsbruck player Tim McGauley. The BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg took a 1-0 lead against ESV Kaufbeuren, but then too many penalties and eventually lost 4-6.
