Preseason picks up speed

In less than a month, on September 20 to be precise, the Alps Hockey League will kick off its 10th season. Numerous teams are already in the middle of preparations and have completed their first test games. Several teams will be back in preseason action in the coming days.

With the Red Bull Hockey Juniors, the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers, EC Bregenzerwald, the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan, defending champions EK Die Zeller Eisbären and HC Gherdeina valgardena.it six Alps Hockey League teams have already completed their preseason kickoff. EC Bregenzerwald has already played two test matches and emerged victorious on both occasions. HC Gherdeina also started its preparations with two wins. Unterland and the Juniors also recorded their first victories.

Several more matches involving AHL teams are scheduled for the coming days. Cortina will be playing Alleghe Hockey today, Thursday. There will also be an internal league duel between Gherdeina and Unterland on Thursday.

On Friday, defending champions Zell am See will be guests at EC Bad Tölz, while Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel will start their preseason in front of their home crowd against Eisbären Regensburg.

Two more games will follow on Saturday and Sunday: The Red Bull Hockey Juniors will be in action on both days, facing SK Horácká Slavia Třebíč and HC Tabor. EC Bregenzerwald will face the Stuttgart Rebels on Saturday, while Kitzbühel will host Bad Tölz on Sunday.

There will also be a test match on Monday: KHL Sisak will play its first preseason game away at Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák.
