The EC-KAC Future Team won 3-2 in Hungary against Fehérvár Hockey Akadémia 19, the second team of the ICE club Fehérvár AV19, which is active in Hungary's highest division. 16-year-old Sebastian List, who played for the first time ever in the Future Team, gave the team the early lead with his first touch on the ice (3.). Stefan Klassek doubled the advantage – and then also decided the shootout for the young “Rotjacken”.

The Hockey Unterland Cavaliers first suffered a 1-5 defeat against Anglet Hormandi Élite (FRA), before last year's quarterfinalist recorded a 4-3 win in the AHL-internal duel with newcomer HK RST Pellet Celje on Saturday. The Slovenians thus remained without a win in their third preparation game.

Champion Jesenice loses to ICE teams
HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice participated in the 19th International Summer Hockey League Tournament in Bled (SLO) last weekend. In the semifinals they lost 1-4 against HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana, in the third-place game they were defeated 2-5 by Hydro Fehérvár AV19. Both goals were scored by Zan Jezovsek. Erik Svetina, he excelled 2023 in 14 playoff games with six goals and eleven assists, will remain part of the team in the upcoming campaign.

Defeats for Merano, Lustenau, Bregenzerwald and Ritten
The weekend was unsuccessful for a quartet of AHL teams: HC Meran/o Pircher lost against Anglet Hormandi Èlite (FRA) with 1-6 and thus had to accept already the fourth defeat in this preseason. Recently, the South Tyroleans have strengthened with the Canadian Joseph Garreffa, who played past campaign with Ljubljana (6G|7A) and Michalovce (4G|2A).

EHC Lustenau remained scoreless against EHC Winterthur (CHE) with 0-4 and is also still waiting for its first win in the current preparation. Local rival EC Bregenzerwald gave away a three-goal lead against EHC Chur (CHE), losing in the end 3-5. The goals were scored by Richard Schlögl, Robert Ossipov and Daniil Kulintsev. Rittner Buam SkyAlps lost 2-4 at Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey, with Alan Lobis and captain Simon Kostner scoring for last year's semifinalists.
