Successful debut for the EC-KAC
The EC-KAC has celebrated a successful preseason debut. The HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice was defeated 4:2 in the Stadthalle Klagenfurt. The home team was led by try-out player Blaz Gregorc, who scored on powerplay, until Jaka Sodja equalized the score in the middle frame. In the final period, the "Rotjacken" cleared the game with goals from Nick Petersen, Thomas Koch and Johannes Bischofberger and fixed a 4:2 home win. The next scrimmage of the Klagenfurt team follows already on Sunday (September 6th at 7:15) against HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana.

Salzburg beats Villach for the second time

EC Red Bull Salzburg also won the second preseason game against EC VSV with 2:1. Thanks to the shootout success, the "bulls" remain unbeaten in the ongoing preparation campaign. Villach had to accept its second defeat. Former Salzburg player Christof Wappis (17th) gave the "eagles" a 1-0 lead in the powerplay. Justin Schütz (29.) Salzburg's latest "new arrival" - he is on loan from the EHC Red Bull Munich until further notice – balanced the game for the guests via rebound. A goalless final third was followed by a goalless extra session - and then a penalty shootout, which John Peterka and Tim Harnisch decided in favor of Salzburg.
