Press conference opens second season of Alps Hockey Leauge

Two days before the season opener, the press conference has rung in the second season of Alps Hockey League on Thursday. The most important devolvements for the season 2017/18 were presented in Bozen. 17 teams of three nations will start at 9th September in to the international league.

Second season with a new member
After the Rittner Buam clinched the first title of Alps Hockey League on the 10th of April 2017, the second season of Alps Hockey Leauge was officially opened at the press conference in Bozen. After a short review of the first season, the HK Olimpija Ljublana was heartily welcomed as new member of the Alps Hockey League, from Tommaso Teofoli representative of the Italian Federation . “I’m very happy, that with HK Olimpija Ljublana a second Slovenian team joined the Alps Hochey League. This is an important development also for the other teams, as the clubs have the possibility to keep on growing internationally and to further increase the international quality of the league”. Dejan Kontrec, president of the Slovenian federation, is especially happy about the new Slovenian member in Alps Hockey League is. “It’s great, that all the three federations supported the inclusion of Ljubljana. This was an essential decision especially for our young players, who still can compete on an international level. With two teams Slovenian is more present than before”.

Review on the first season
Tommaso Teofoli was very pleased about the first season of Alps Hockey League.  “The first season was very satisfying for us from an Italian view. Not only because Ritten clinched the title, but also because our young players made a very good development in the last season, what they proofed at the world championship in Germany.” But also the representatives of the other federations were very happy about the premiere season. Peter Schramm, the chairman of the Board of Governors, underlines the wide diversity of the league “The best player of last season played for an Slovenian team and the youngest teams were Austrian teams. This is the diversity the Alps Hockey league is characterized by.” 

More moving pictures of Alps Hockey League
As livestreams and moving pictures already delighted the fans of the Alps Hockey League in the past season, this offer will even be surpassed by far in the coming period. AHL Commissioner Christian Feichtinger signed a contract with Rosengarten TV publicly during the conference , which promises full Alps Hockey League Action in the format of moving pictures in the next season. “With the cooperation with Rosengarten TV, we are able to provide the AHL-Action even a broader audience. Beside a weekly program on SDF-Eishockey and a weekly magazine AHL Hockey 33, the fans can also enjoy game highlights and reportages about the AHL.”

Alps Hockey League starts with new game mode into the new season
To make the Alps Hockey League for fans and players even more attractive, the game mode was optimized. Peter Schramm is looking forward to even more hot derbies than last years “In the X-mas time, we will play in four regional groups. This makes it for fans easier to cheer for their teams in this period and the travelling time for players will be reduced.”
