The international ice hockey league has awarded the exclusive free-to-air TV broadcasting rights for the coming season to PULS 4. The rights apply to PULS 24 and PULS 4 to ensure maximum flexibility in program planning. As host broadcaster, Austria's new TV channel guarantees up to 45 games live. The main broadcast date during the regular season remains Sunday. In addition, the new TV partner will also broadcast one game on all playoff game days. All games produced live by PULS 24 can also be watched via online stream in the Zappn app (zappn.tv) and on puls24.at. In addition to the live games, the highlights of the other games will also be available.

Markus Breitenecker, PULS 4 founder: "In the past half year, PULS 24 completed the most successful station launch in Austrian TV history. In times of the Corona crisis, the importance of live sports and entertainment has once again become clear, in addition to comprehensive and qualitative live news. We are delighted that we are further expanding our live sports offering on PULS 24 and will be the new home of the popular ice hockey league as an exclusive free-to air TV partner from autumn onwards. Our sports editorial team is joyfully motivated, our lived tradition in the house will be continued and our sports portfolio will be further expanded on PULS 24".

Mario Lenz, Director Group Sports Rights of ProSiebenSat. 1 PULS 4: "As the PULS 4 Group, we have a great deal of experience with international sports rights, but being the exclusive free-TV partner for one of the two major sports leagues in Austria is a special challenge and also a responsibility. Despite the outbreak of the Corona crisis, we absolutely wanted to conclude our very good talks with the league in order to provide planning security, at least when it came to the topic of media partnership. For PULS 24, this commitment is another milestone in the impressive development so far and our entire team is very much looking forward to working with the league, the teams and of course the fans".

"I am looking forward to the partnership with the largest private broadcaster in Austria. With the PULS 4 Group, we have found a partner for the new season who brings a wealth of experience and know-how in the field of sports coverage. This will enable us to continue to offer a versatile mix of pay TV and free-to-air content in the coming season," says Dr. Karl Safron, President of the Ice Hockey League.

"Thanks to the agreed cooperation with PULS 4, we can offer ice hockey fans the usual live presence of our league in the coming season as well. The fact that all live-produced games from PULS 4 and Sky are now available on TV and via online stream will benefit not only the spectators, but also the clubs and their sponsors as well as the league," says Christian Feichtinger, Managing Director of the League.
