Last summer, PULS 24, the youngest Austrian private broadcaster, acquired the free-TV rights of the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League. After a successful first season together, the cooperation will now be continued. For two more years, until the end of the 2022/23 season, PULS 24 will broadcast games of the multinational league, which will consist of 14 teams for the first time in the coming season. In addition, the broadcaster has an option for two further seasons.

Mario Lenz, Director Group Sports Rights of ProSiebenSat.1PULS 4: "We are of course very pleased about this long-term extension of our cooperation with the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League after our partnership discussions in recent weeks. Despite the extraordinary circumstances, together we managed to deliver a top-class season to the fans and we are full of drive to continue this successful path in the next season. A big thank you and compliment goes to our sports editorial team, who adapted perfectly to these difficult circumstances and did a fantastic job. Our entire team is already looking forward to full arenas and top-class ice hockey in the coming years on PULS 24."

Kommerzialrat Mag. Jochen Pildner-Steinburg, ICE President: "I am delighted about the extension of the cooperation with PULS 4 TV GmbH. In the first year of our cooperation, the entire PULS 24 team proved that they have a lot of experience and know-how under the most difficult conditions and provided first-class ice hockey broadcasts. It was therefore a great concern for us to continue the partnership in order to be able to offer ice hockey fans the familiar live presence of our league in the long term."

Up to 45 matches will be offered live on free-TV and can also be watched via online stream in the Zappn app (zappn.tv) and on puls24.at. The online stream is available worldwide.

Sunday remains the main broadcasting day
Usually, the PULS 24 Matchday presents the regular season matches on Sunday. During the ICE Playoffs, the Austrian private channel will be home to hockey fans on every matchday of the postseason.

"Especially last season it was important to be present on free-TV like never before. PULS 24 brought our sport - in a time when no spectators were allowed in the arenas - into the living rooms of ice hockey fans. The popularity has massively increased the free-TV media value of our league. I am all the more pleased that we were able to conclude a new agreement with PULS 24 for the next two years plus an option for two more years," said ICE Managing Director Christian Feichtinger.
