Pustertal Takes Top Clash Against Ljubljana
The first game after the break delivered a high-stakes duel for first place between HC Falkensteiner Pustertal and Olimpija Ljubljana. The Wolves struck early, with Daniel Glira opening the scoring in the third minute. Ljubljana responded quickly: top scorers Nicolai Meyer and T.J. Brennan turned the game around before the first intermission. Pustertal dominated the middle frame, reclaiming control and jumping ahead 4:2. Ljubljana cut the deficit in the third period, but the Wolves held on for a 5:3 victory, maintaining their lead at the top. The Dragons remain second, now four points behind.

KAC Ends Black Wings Winning Streak
EC-KAC claimed the matchup between the league’s two hottest teams and halted the Steinbach Black Wings Linz winning streak. The home side came out firing, scoring twice within the opening three minutes through Thomas Hundertpfund and Mario Kempe. Linz pulled one back before the break, but struggled to contain the Klagenfurt offense in the second period. The KAC entered the final frame up 5:2 and secured a 5:3 win. It was the first defeat for Linz after five straight victories, while KAC moved up to third place.

Innsbruck Wins West Derby in Overtime
HC TIWAG Innsbruck earned a 4:3 overtime win over the Pioneers Vorarlberg. After a cautious first period, both teams generated chances late before the Haie took over in the second: Steven Owre opened the scoring and Sebastian Benker doubled the lead on the power play. The Pioneers responded quickly, also on the man advantage. Early in the third, Jonas Dobnig restored the two-goal cushion, but the visitors battled back — Casey Dornbach struck, and Martin Woger tied the game on a 6-on-4 late push. In overtime, former Pioneer Steven Owre sealed the win after just 23 seconds. With the victory, Innsbruck collected two important points and doubled its lead over the Vorarlberg side in the standings.

Successful Debut for Ted Dent: Fehérvár Wins in Shootout
Hydro Fehérvár AV19 delivered a winning debut for new head coach Ted Dent with a 3:2 shootout victory over HCB Südtirol Alperia. The visitors struck first: Brice Misley scored shorthanded to put Bozen ahead. Fehérvár responded strongly in the second period — Csanad Erdely tied the game before Drake Rymsha gave the Hungarians their first lead. Matt Bradley forced overtime with a goal in the third, but Fehérvár secured the extra point in the shootout.

FTC-Telekom Spoils Constantine’s Debut
FTC-Telekom defeated the Vienna Capitals 2:1. The Caps struck first during their opening power play, with Benjamin Lanzinger converting. Budapest answered in the same fashion, as Robin Bengtsson equalized on the man advantage. After a scoreless second period, Ferenc Laskawy scored the game-winner in the 46th minute. FTC moved closer to the league’s top seven, while Vienna — even under new head coach Kevin Constantine — was unable to return to the win column and remains in 11th place.
