Pustertal extends winning streak

The HC Pustertal is still perfect in the new season of Alps Hockey League. After a shutout win against Cortina, the wolves still have the maximum amount of points after nine games. HK SZ Olimpija Ljublana celebrated a 5:1 win against Bregenzerwald and the Red Bull Hockey Juniors grinded out a 3:2 road win in Milano.

HK SZ Olimpija - EC Bregenzerwald 5:1 (1:1, 2:0, 2:0)
Second game of the weekend for the EC Bregenzerwald. Jezovsek captured the lead for the hosts of Ljubljana after nine minutes. Järvinen managed to tie the game still in the first period. Both teams made some mistakes, but only Ljubljana managed to benefit from that. Koblar rereated the lead for the hosts after 25 minutes. Only 21 seconds before the end of the second period Jezovsek doubled the lead. Ljubljana kept full control over the game in the final period. Bregenzerwald couldn’t create more chances. The hosts didn’t decrease pressure and Planko and Orehek created the result of 5:1. 

S.G. Cortina Hafro - HC Pustertal Wölfe 0:5 (0:2; 0:1; 0:2)
The HC Pustertal gained a 5:0 in Cortina as they conquered their ninth consecutive victory. Federico Lacedelli, Massimo Cordiano (suspended), Nick Bruneteau (suspended) and Andrea Moser were absent for Cortina. Teemu Virtala and Cody Corbett were absent for Pustertal. Cortina played her game but after 13 minutes th Wolves opened the scoring with Armin Helfer who finalized a good action. Before the end of the second half, Arrmin Helfer served a golden assist for Marko Virtala who overtook De Filippo with a nice shot. In the second half the Cortina was more enterprising but Colin Furlong saved everything. Still Armin Helfer was in evidence with another goal. In the third period the Wolves were still protagonists with their younger players. Alex De Lorenzo Meo and Simon Berger fixed the final score for 5: 0 for Bruneck. Furlong earned his second seasonal shutout.
 
Hockey Milano Rossoblu - Red Bull Hockey Juniors 2:4 (0:0; 1:1; 1;3)
Hockey Milano Rossoblu played another home game after the first victory of ever in AHL against the Wipptal Broncos on Saturday. The Red Bull Hockey Juniors were also in the second away match: on Saturday they lost against Lustenau. First half was without goals but many emotions built by two teams that didn’t spare. In the second half, Milan looked like the one against Wipptal and Tommaso Terzago scored the first goal. But Salzburg, shortly after, equalized in shorthanded. In the third time the Austrians were more concrete under the net and in less than three minutes they took the lead with Schmitz and Klöckl. The Milan returned in the match with Verrault-Paul on rebound but the Swedish Nordberg fixed the result on 4:2 fro Red Bulls with the goal in the empty net.
