Record victory for Pioneers
The BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg prolong their successful start to the season. After finishing last season in last place, the Vorarlberg team managed to achieve their third full success in the sixth game of the 2023/24 season. Against HK SZ Olimpija, the Pioneers even celebrated the highest victory in their still young club history on Friday evening. The team from Vorarlberg clearly won 7:1 - seven different scorers entered the scoring list for the team from Feldkirch. But then the newest team of the win2day ICE Hockey League ignited the turbo and let six goals follow in the second and third period. After this win, the Pioneers are in sixth place in the standings after the sixth round.
KAC defeats Linz in "Rollercoaster-Game

Salzburg wins close game against Villach
EC Red Bull Salzburg remains the fiercest pursuer of leader Pustertal. In the top duel against EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV, the Red Bulls celebrated a 4:3 home victory. The hosts went ahead in both the first and third periods, with the Eagles promptly following suit until 2:2. In the last ten minutes of the game, the reigning champions acted more coolly and built up a 4:2 lead. The Eagles were able to shorten the score once more, but were unable to force overtime. Despite the defeat, VSV remains in third place in the table.
Fehérvár wrestles down Vienna in eastern derby
The spusu Vienna Capitals and Hydro Fehérvár AV19 delivered an open exchange of blows on Friday night, in which they equaled the current goal record of this season. Innsbruck decides defensive battle against Graz in its favor
The Moser Medical Graz99ers and HC TIWAG Innsbruck fought a defensive battle in the sixth round, in which both goalies excelled. While the two teams still felt each other out a bit in the early stages, the final period at the latest saw an exchange of blows with top-class chances. 99ers goalie Lars Volden withstood a great final offensive by the Sharks in the closing seconds of regulation time. In overtime, however, he had to concede defeat to last year's MVP Brady Shaw, who fired the Innsbruckers to their second overtime win in a row. For the 99ers, who still have to wait for their first win in the new season, this was already the third overtime defeat of the season.
