The vita of the 28-years-old is impressive and enriches the back line of the HC Pustertal with versatility. Kristensen made his debut as a 17-year-old in the Danish league, scored in his World Cup debut against Italy in Minsk in 2014, was voted into the Top3 MVPs of his country and made his way into the top leagues of Sweden and Finland via the Allsvenskan.

Kristensen defended for a total of six years in the north (Oskarshamm, Rögle, Linköpping and Kookoo). After an injury-related absence in 2019, the right-shooter moved to Switzerland to the EV Zug Academy (SL, formerly NLB), and then in the summer of 2020 to the Schwenninger Wild Wings (DEL). Now follows the commitment in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League with HC Pustertal.

Patrick Bona, sporting director of the HC Pustertal: "We have a requirement profile that the new player likes. He wants to prove himself in a new league and has experience at the highest level. Emil has a good shot and strong build-up play, he will help us."

Emil Kristensen: "I had very good talks with head coach Basile, I like the presented way of playing and squad planning. There is a big challenge ahead in the ICE for the club and I want to be part of this adventure. Of course, I hope it will be a successful year for all of us."
