Steinbach Black Wings Linz - Moser Medical Graz99ers
Graz leads 2:0 in the best-of-7 series against Linz. After the spectacular 9:6 opening win in Upper Austria, the Styrians prevailed 3:2/OT, scoring in the 83rd minute in front of their home crowd on Tuesday. The Black Wings' home defeat was their first loss in front of a home crowd since January 1st. Graz have won six of their last ten games away from home. Overall, the 99ers have won four of the six encounters so far this season. Watch live on PULS 24 and www.joyn.at from 19:05 to find out whether Graz can pull away to a 3:0 lead on Thursday or whether Linz will win in the series for the first time.

EC-KAC - HC Pustertal
In the first of three Friday games, the EC-KAC meets Pustertal. The series is completely open after two games. In both encounters, the home team celebrated a shutout victory: Klagenfurt won the opener 4:0, followed by a 3:0 win for the South Tyroleans. It was the first win for the team from Bruneck in their sixth play-off duel with the KAC. However, success against the regular season champions in Carinthia will be a difficult task. The KAC have remained unbeaten in their last five home games and have only suffered one defeat in their last 15 games in front of a home crowd - only Bolzano defeated them 1:0 in shootout during this period. The last time the KAC failed to pick up a point at the Heidi Horten-Arena was on November 15, 2024, while Pustertal have only won two of their last ten away games.

EC Red Bull Salzburg - Hydro Fehérvár AV19
Salzburg already lead the series against Fehérvár 2:0 and can take a preliminary decision with a home win on Friday. In both games, however, only one goal made the difference.Salzburg won the opener 3:2 in front of their home crowd, followed by a 1:0 victory in Székesfehérvár. Scott Kosmachuk scored the game-winning goal in the 28th minute. Overall, it was the fifth win in a row for Salzburg and the sixth success in the sixth season duel with the Hungarians. The Red Bulls have been victorious in front of their home crowd in the last three encounters, while Fehérvár have not won any of their last three away games and have only won two of their last eight games away from home.

HCB Südtirol Alperia - EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV
The second series between South Tyrol and Carinthia is also tied 1:1 after two games. After Bolzano took the upper hand 4:1 in the opener, Villach prevailed 4:3/OT in the second encounter. Alexander Rauchenwald provided the game-winner in the 77th minute and scored a hat-trick. With four postseason goals already, the 31-year-old center is already enjoying the best-goalscoring playoffs of his career. Villach has only been beaten twice in the past ten games - in the series opener in Bolzano and in the derby against Klagenfurt. The “Foxes” have conceded four defeats in this period, but have remained unbeaten in front of their home crowd for five games. VSV, on the other hand, suffered their first away defeat last Sunday after four wins in a row.
