EK Die Zeller Eisbären - EC Bregenzerwald
After winning the regular season, Zell am See had an extremely strong Master Round with seven wins from eight games and thus also first place in the intermediate round. In the play-off pick, the Pinzgau team decided for EC Bregenzerwald. The team from Vorarlberg only finished the regular season in twelfth place. Their performance in the intermediate round was completely different. Five wins in six games meant first place. A tight pre-playoff series against HC Gardena followed, in which the Vorarlberg team won the deciding game 4:3. The three duels so far this season have been clear-cut affairs for Zell am See, who have scored 15 goals and not conceded a single one (3:0, 5:0, 7:0).

Rittner Buam SkyAlps - HC Meran/o Pircher
The Rittner Buam SkyAlps finished both the regular season and the intermediate round in second place. The reigning champions have chosen HC Meran Pircher as their quarter-final opponents and will therefore face a team with strong form. The Eagles have been unbeaten for eight games, winning all of their meetings in the Qualification Round and the two games in the pre-playoffs against Sisak. The Rittner Buam SkyAlps have already played Merano five times this season, three times in the regular season of the Alps Hockey League and twice in the semi-finals of the Italian championship. Overall, the Buam lead the statistics with 4:1 victories.

Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel - Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan
Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel have had a strong season so far - and have already secured the Austrian AHL title. The Tyroleans finished the Master Round in third place and chose the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan as their opponents in the quarter-finals. 3:0, 3:2 and 2:1 after overtime: these were the Eagles' results in the regular season against Sterzing, who have developed into a kind of favourite opponent for the Pewal crew throughout the season. After a weak start to the season, the South Tyroleans made up ground, narrowly missing out on the top five before qualifying for the quarter-finals via the pre-playoffs. A year ago, the Broncos advanced to the semi-finals with a sweep against Zell am See.

SIJ Acroni Jesenice - S.G. Cortina Hafro
Due to two defeats, HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice slipped to fourth place in the Master Round. The Slovenians will now face Hafro Cortina Hockey in the quarter-finals, who won just two of their eight games in the intermediate round. However, the Italians have already shown nerves of steel this season: they crowned themselves Italian champions and made it into the top five on the last day of the regular season. The two teams have already faced each other five times this season, with Jesenice emerging victorious four times. The Slovenians' only AHL title to date came in the 2023 final against Cortina.
