HC Meran/o Pircher – HC Migross Asiago
Seventh-seeded HC Meran/o Pircher has been the big surprise of these playoffs so far. The Eagles took a 3–0 series lead over Asiago by winning Game 3 on the road 2–1 on Saturday. Overall, Merano is unbeaten in nine consecutive games. Asiago, which owned the league’s second-best offense in the regular season, has scored only four goals in the series so far against former Italian national team goalie Andreas Bernard. In its fifth AHL season, Merano is contesting its third quarterfinal appearance but has yet to celebrate a semifinal qualification.

Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan – EK Die Zeller Eisbären
After three home wins in the series, the action now returns to Sterzing. In a heated Game 3, Zell am See prevailed 5–2 on Saturday – the same scoreline the Broncos had earned at home two days earlier. In last year’s semifinal matchup between these two teams, Zell won Game 4 on the road 3–0.

HC Gherdëina valgardena.it – Red Bull Hockey Juniors
All three previous games in this quarterfinal series between Gherdëina and the Juniors ended 3–2. The eighth-seeded South Tyroleans have claimed two of those wins. On Sunday, Gherdëina celebrated another narrow victory in Salzburg, this time in overtime – once again thanks to Vlastimil Dostalek, who scored the game winner in both of the last two meetings. Gherdëina has won four of its last five home games, while the Juniors have recorded only one win in their past eight road outings.

S.G. Cortina Hafro – KHL Sisak
This series has also featured only home victories so far. On Saturday, Cortina just missed its first away win when Sisak tied the game late and then took the overtime victory. In their first meeting in Cortina, the home team earned a clear 5–2 success. Head coach Gaber Glavič’s side has won six of its last seven home games, while the Croatians have suffered four defeats in their past five away appearances.
