The first quarterfinal game, originally scheduled for Tuesday, had to be abandoned in the first period due to a medical emergency. In coordination with the league and the clubs from Klagenfurt and Székesfehérvár, it was decided on Thursday that the series will continue in the originally planned best-of-seven format, following the H-A-H-A-H-A-H sequence. The game dates have been rescheduled, with Game one taking place on Sunday in Klagenfurt.

Over the past 48 hours, the win2day ICE Hockey League community has once again demonstrated that the “Hockey Family” is exactly that—a true family that comes together in moments that matter most.

In full support of Jordan Murray, the entire win2day ICE Hockey League family sends its heartfelt best wishes for a healthy and complete recovery. Our thoughts are with Jordan and his loved ones during this time. According to a statement from EC-KAC, Murray’s condition is improving, and he could be transferred to a regular ward in the coming days.

We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to the doctors and medical professionals who went above and beyond to ensure Jordan received the excellent care he needed. Their professionalism and dedication are deeply appreciated by everyone across the league.

Following many discussions between the win2day ICE Hockey League, EC-KAC, and the Fehervar AV19 organizations, a solution has been agreed upon that prioritizes both the well-being of those involved and the integrity of the competition.

The EC-KAC vs. Fehervar AV19 Quarter Final will continue as a Best-of-Seven (7) series. Both organizations and their players expressed a strong desire to play the full series as scheduled, ensuring the competition proceeds as intended while standing together in support of Jordan Murray during his recovery.

The previously communicated game calendar and start times have been modified as the new game calendar states. The series will begin on Sunday, March 15th at 18:00 in Klagenfurt. The series will continue with two-day intervals between games, with home ice alternating as usual.

We would like to thank the fans, media, and the entire win2day ICE Hockey League community for their understanding, patience, and overwhelming support as the league worked to determine the best path forward.

The strength and unity of the hockey community have been clearly evident over the past two days, and that spirit continues as we move forward together.
