Quarterfinals 3: KAC under pressure | Bolzano in Znojmo with chance to extend the lead

The reigning champion is in the third quarterfinal match against the Black Wings Linz on Sunday under pressure, the KAC is already trailing 0:2 in the series. The Black Wings could already conquer the first match puck as guests in Klagenfurt - live at Servus Hockey Night. HCB Südtirol Alperia is also in the lead with 2:0. Due to the current developments in connection with the corona virus COVID19, the HCB changed the home right and will again be a guest at HC Orli Znojmo (Sunday, 17:30). The two other "best-of-seven" series will go into the home hall of the better placed team for the second time with a balanced standing. The match between EC Red Bull Salzburg and EC Panaceo VSV will be broadcast live on Sky Sport Austria.

Facts about the 3rd quarterfinal matchday:
  • Due to current developments in connection with the corona virus COVID19, the third quarter final match between HCB Südtirol Alperia and HC Orli Znojmo will be played again in the Czech Republic on Sunday at 17:30.
  • The Servus Hockey Night broadcasts the match between the EC KAC and the Liwest Black Wings Linz. Sky Sport Austria will transfer the fight for the series lead between EC Red Bull Salzburg and EC Panaceo VSV.

  • After the narrow defeat at the play-off kick-off, EC Red Bull Salzburg managed to equalize the series as guests of EC Panaceo VSV.
  • Salzburg and Villach have already met in the playoffs in five series. In three of these series the score after the second game was 1:1 - after that the Salzburg team won every time.
  • Among the Red Bulls, two players, Bud Holloway (3G | 1A) and Chad Kolarik (1G | 3A) scored four points in the first two games.
