It is getting tougher! Champion EV Vienna Capitals and EC Red Bull Salzburg would qualify for the semifinals with a home-win on Sunday. Besides, EC-KAC welcomes HCB Südtirol Alperia. KHL Medvescak Zagreb and EHC LIWEST Black Wings Linz will face each other for the fifth time in Zagreb on Monday. Each series are tied at 2:2.

>Quarterfinal number 5 will be played on two days: While Vienna Capitals and HC TWK Innsbruck „Die Haie“, EC Red Bull Salzburg and Dornbirn Bulldogs or EC-KAC and HCB Südtirol Alperia will face each other on Sunday, the game KHL Medvescak Zagreb vs. EHC LIWEST Black Wings Linz will be played on Monday.
>At least one Quarterfinal series has been decided in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga history (since 2003/04) after Quarterfinal number 5. Champion EV Vienna Capitals and EC Red Bull Salzburg have the chance to qualify for the semifinals with a home-win on Sunday and to extend this series.
>EV Vienna Capitals and EC Red Bull Salzburg have celebrated the hightest Playoff wins in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga: The Capitals have beaten EC Red Bull Salzburg on March 22nd 2011 with 9:1 and EC Red Bull Salzburg has defeated HK Acroni Jesenice with the same result on February 22nd 2009.
