HC Neumarkt Riwega 0 – Rittner Buam 1
The Rittner Buam started with a 5:2 into the quarter final series. Ritten decided the game within four minutes in the second period with three goals. But Neumarkt delivered a really tough battle and showed that they might be able to surprise the Italian champion. The second game will be played in front of the home crowd of the wild goose. With the energy of their fans they aim to tie the series. The main objective is to avoid a phase like the four minutes in the first game. If they manage to stay focused for 60 minutes or even longer, everything is still possible.

S. G. Cortina 1 - HC Pustertal 0
What an exciting, tough and close battle in the first game. It needed 109 minutes of ice hockey to find a winner of the first game. Cortina managed to steal home advantage early in this series. It is the only team who managed to do so and who now can capture match pucks in front of the home crowd. For the second game Pustertal is still struggling a bit with absences, as beside the injured players also Sirokovs Maksims is missing because of a four games suspension. Maksims will not be able to take part in the quarter finals anymore. But still, Pustertal is ready to fight back into the series. Cortina clearly captured the momentum. They already proofed that they can fight back after trailing in a series – now they aim to capture the first matchpuck.

VEU Feldkirch 0 – Asiago Hockey 1
Asiago made the first step and defended the home advantage in the first game. With another win they would already capture two match pucks. But Feldkirch will do everything to tie the series in front of the home crowd. The first game was high of quality. Despite losing the first game, VEU Coach Michael Lampert was satisfied with the performance of his team. “It is frustrating to lose, when the team is playing really good. We have to get this result now out of our heads and put our focus on the next game. We will be ready.” The first game was decided by Asiago in the third period. The vice champs of Italy aim to take the rhythm of the last period into the second game of quarter finals.

EHC Lustenau 0 - HDD Jesenice 1
Lustenau delived a really tough and long battle to Jesenice in the first game. The decision came in the overtime. The best striker in the league brought the decision in the 66th minute.  Lustenau Coach Gerald Ressmann was still satisfied with the performance of his club. “We were in the game the whole team and we even had good possibilities to decide the game. The guys gave everything but at the end it was not enough for the win.” Now the series comes for the first time to Austria and with the home crowd in the back Lustenau aims to tie the series.
