Rafael Rotter joins Kitzbühel

The EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel signed Rafael Rotter. The 36-year-old played more than 700 games in the win2day ICE Hockey League, most recently with the spusu Vienna Capitals, and was even named MVP in 2018. The EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel announced the signing of Rafael Rotter. The winger comes from the spusu Vienna Capitals, with whom he celebrated one championship title in 2017. In total, the 36-year-old played over 700 games in the win2day ICE Hockey League and became league MVP once.

In addition Kitzbühel extends the contract with Martin Urbanek. In the past two seasons, the 21-year-old defenseman played 68 games for the Tyroleans. With the EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV Urbanek also gained experience in the win2day ICE Hockey League and Champions Hockey League.

KAC Future Team announces basic squad
A total of 19 players are part of the basic squad of the EC-KAC Future Team. In addition to numerous homegrown players, four Slovenians are also part of the squad, led by 39-year-old captain Andrej Tavželj. Also in the Future Team line-up are goalkeepers Patrick Müller, Ralf Kropiunig and Michael Sicher; defenders Michael Malle, Thomas Klassek, Tit Smolnikar and Marcel Wadel, as well as forwards Stefan Klassek, Nico Kramer, Oliver Lam, Leon Lamereiner, Jakob Lippitsch, Tobias Piuk, Anže Šiftar, Luc Slivnik, Marco Sunitsch, Patrik Walder and Lukas Waschnig.

From the beginning of August, a number of Austrian and Slovenian try-out candidates will also join the team, who will be given the opportunity to recommend themselves for a permanent place in the lineup during the preseason preparation.

Marc-Andre Dorion stays in Linz
Marc-Andre Dorion extended his contract with the Steel Wings LINZ AG by another year. The 36-year-old veteran played in total 20 games for the Steel Wings last season, scoring twelve points. Due to numerous injuries, the Canadian also made his comeback with the Black Wings Linz in the win2day ICE Hockey League, where he played a total of 31 games, nine of them in the playoffs.

Contract extensions at Fassa
In total three contract extensions took place at the SHC Fassa Falcons. Luca Biondi enters his fifth season with the Italians. The 21-year-old forward has played 119 Alps Hockey League games so far, recording twelve goals and 22 assists. Defender Soel Costantin will play his eleventh season for the team from Canazei. The 29-year-old has played 202 AHL games so far (1G, 6A). Additionally with Nik Trottner a 24-year-old center stays with Fassa. The native of Cavalese is part of the Falcons since his youth and has played 235 AHL games so far.

Beber stays in Meran/o
28-year-old Philipp Beber will play another season with the HC Meran/o Pircher. The defender is part of the Eagles since his youth and played only one season in another club.

Cortina captain Adami signs new contract
Francesco Adami will be part of the S.G. Cortina Hafro side in the 2023/24 season again. The center has spent his entire career wearing the white and blue jersey. After captaining his team for the last four years, leading it to the 17th Serie A title and to the Alps Hockey League final, the 37-year-old now signed a contract extension.

Urban Sodja is back in Jesenice
SIJ Acroni Jesenice announced the signing of Urban Sodja. The winger played in Jesenice until 2020, spending the last three years in France and Germany. The 31-year-old has recorded 87 points (25G, 62A) in 186 AHL games so far.

Two forwards for Val Gardena
The HC Gherdeina valgardena.it continues to work on the roster for next season. Hannes Kasslatter, who spent most of last campaign with the HCB Südtirol Alperia in the win2day ICE Hockey League, returns to the club. In addition, the South Tyroleans extended the contract with Matteo Luisetti.

Hämmerle continues to play for Bregenzerwald
The EC Bregenzerwald has extended the contract of Kai Hämmerle for another season. The 21-year-old has been with the club since 2019, but a lengthy injury caused Hämmerle to miss much of the past campaign. In total, the forward has already played 69 Alps Hockey League games (3G, 9A).
