The past season in the win2day ICE Hockey League was an up and down for HC Pustertal. After a strong start to the season and leading the table for the first time, the “Wolves” missed out on the top six and made it to the quarter-finals via the pre-playoffs. There, the HCP even advanced to the semi-finals with a Game 7 victory in Szekesfehérvár. The great joy at what they had achieved was only slightly dimmed by their elimination against the KAC. “The hockey euphoria is noticeable, we have record season ticket sales. The goal is to qualify for the playoffs again, then we play to win. We want to bring people into the stadium and show good hockey,” says captain Raphael Andergassen confidently.

The striker has been in Bruneck since 2014 and ventured into the ICE with the club. “It was a big step, the high level speaks for the league. It's great to compete with international opponents, that makes it even more interesting,” says Andergassen, for whom one game is still above all others: ”I'm already looking forward to all the derbies against Bolzano.”

Shutout or comeback victory, the South Tyrolean derby between HC Pustertal and HCB Südtirol Alperia once again had a lot to offer last season - and in the four duels, the visiting team always won. The two rivals will face each other again on the very first weekend of the new ICE season.
