Red Bull Hockey Juniors and Ritten snatch up national titles

The Red Bull Hockey Juniors and the Rittner Buam each snatched up the national titles in Alps Hockey League. While Salzburg won the return-leg against EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau by 5:1, Ritten secured the Scudetto against Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey in Overtime. After each team won their road-game, the Scudetto was decided in overtime by Olegs Sislannikovs. Both teams can start the final phase of the regular season full of self-confidence.

Red Bull Hockey Juniors are Austrian Champion of Alps Hockey League

After the tight 2:3 overtime-loss against EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau on Saturday, the Red Bulls made the preliminary decision about the national title with three unanswered goals within three minutes in the first period of the return-leg. In the end they won 5:1. With facing two direct competitors for the top-4 in standings in the next three games, the Red Bulls will have a tough schedule ahead in the Alps Hockey League. 

Rittner Buam got the Scudetto

The Rittner Buam won the Scudetto. After winning the road game on Saturday, Ritten lost the home-one against Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 2:6 in regular time. A 20 minutes sudden death overtime was added and Olegs Sislannikovs potted the game winning goal after more than 17 minutes in the extra session. Ritten is actually part of the top-4 in standings of the Alps Hockey League and has three road games ahead facing two direct competitors.
