The Red Bull Hockey Juniors secured their second convincing victory in a row against HC Gherdeina valgardena.it, forcing a decisive Game 7. After a 9–2 home win on Friday, they followed up with a 6–2 road victory on Sunday. The seventh game of the quarterfinal series will take place on Tuesday at 19:15 in Salzburg.

Gherdeina failed to convert their second match puck and will now have to play a decisive game on the road on Tuesday. In front of nearly 1,000 fans, the South Tyroleans were clearly beaten 6–2 by the Red Bull Hockey Juniors. The Juniors took control early, leading 3–0 after just six and a half minutes. They were ahead 4–1 after the first period and extended their lead to 6–1 midway through the game.
Salzburg remained firmly in control throughout and recorded 19 of their total 47 shots on goal in the final period, although they were unable to add to their tally. Gherdeina scored the final goal of the game shorthanded in the 43rd minute. However, the visitors were unable to generate further pressure, setting up a decisive showdown for a place in the semifinals on Tuesday at 19:15 in Salzburg.
