Red Bull Juniors defeat the league leaders in a shootout

The young team from Salzburg celebrated its fifth win in a row and climbed to 5th place in the table. The victory against the EK Zeller Eisbären had to be hard-fought. Zell took the lead after just 22 seconds. The Juniors turned the game around until the 39th minute, but Zell then shot themselves into overtime, where they were initially unable to force a decision. Daniel Assavolyuk then converted the decisive penalty shot to secure victory.

Bregenzerwald celebrates success over reigning champions
EC Bregenzerwald celebrated a convincing victory over SIJ Acroni Jesenice. This was the second defeat in 24 hours for the reigning champions. The Vorarlberg team got off to an impressive start and took a 2:0 lead in the first ten minutes. Bregenzerwald led 6:0 at one point in the second period, but the Slovenians' comeback started too late and Jesenice were ultimately beaten 2:6.

Commanding victories for Broncos, Cavaliers and Fassa
The Wipptal Broncos remain confident in their second season duel with the EC-KAC Future Team. The third-placed team in the Alps Hockey League table celebrated a 5:2 home win on Saturday evening. Davide Conci scored a three-point game (two goals and one assist). This was the 13th straight loss for Klagenfurt, which sits at the bottom of the standings.

Meanwhile, the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers celebrated a convincing 10:2 win against HK RST Pellet Celje. The Slovenians took an early lead, but were then unable to counter the Cavaliers' onslaught. Three Unterland strikers scored a brace to lift their team to ninth place in the table.

SHC Fassa Falcons promptly returned to winning ways after Thursday's defeat and celebrated their fourth victory in the last five games. For Kitzbühel, on the other hand, the negative run continues - it was their third defeat in a row. Kitzbühel were already leading 1:0 and 2:1 in this encounter, but the Falcons scored four goals within eight minutes to take the lead. The Falcons finally prevailed 7:3.

Narrow victories for Meran and Steel Wings Linz
HC Meran/o celebrated a hard-fought victory over S.G. Cortina Hafro. After falling behind early, the two teams fought a tough exchange in which Meran took the lead three times. The man of the match was Nolan Ritchie, who almost single-handedly brought S.G. Cortina Hafro to its knees with a hat-trick.

The Steel Wings Linz AG also had to accept an early deficit against HC Gherdeina and trailed 3:1 at one point. Mikael Saha then fired the Upper Austrians into overtime with a brace, where Patrick Söllinger made sure the Steel Wings won the game.
