EC Red Bull Salzburg has won semifinals game #6 against the spusu Vienna Capitals 3:2/OT and has forced a deciding game #7 in Vienna on Friday. Herburger has netted the Game Winner after a 0:2-deficit in minute 64.

EC Red Bull Salzburg has won semifinals game #6 against the spusu Vienna Capitals after a 0:2-deficits 3:2/OT and has forced a deciding game #7 in Vienna on Friday. Each team has searched their luck  in the offense in an intense first period (12:16-shots). After good chances on both ends, among others Salzburgs Ryan Duncan hit the post (3.), the break through has finally come in minute 20: Capitals forward Andreas Nödl deflected a shot from Youngster Benjamin Nissner and gave the guests a 1:0-lead. Sondre Olden came close to score the 2:0 in minute 24, but he just hit the post. The Mozart Citizens failed to respond in the first Power Play of the match and this was punished by Wien: Alex Wall netted the 2:0 from near the right post in minute 32. On the other side, goalie JP Lamoureux stopped all shots from the Red Bulls. John Hughes and Co. could not even get on the scoreboard, when playing 5-on-3-Powerplay for 83 seconds late in the second period. EC Red Bull Salzburg did not give up in period 3 and was finally rewarded with their first goal in minute 49. Thomas Raffl intercepted a diagonalpass in the Capitals defense and outplayed goalie JP Lamoureux – 1:2.  The game went up and down now and O’Neill send the game to Overtime 36 seconds before the end of period 3. In the 13. Overtime of the season (new record), Herburger netted the Game Winner for the Red Bulls in a Power Play in minute 64 and forced a deciding game 7 in Vienna on Friday.
