win2day, 3rd quarterfinal:
Sun, 12.03.2023, 16:30: EC Red Bull Salzburg - Hydro Fehervar AV 19
Referees: FICHTNER, HRONSKY, Jedlicka, Riecken | >> PPV-Livestream <<
Standings in the "best-of-7" series: 2:0

Although Fehérvár took the lead in the early stages on Friday, the guests also turned this duel in their favor. After the 2:1 win, the Red Bulls are 2:0 ahead in the "best-of-7" series. As in the 2022 final, these are close games in which the Salzburgers have again had the upper hand so far. The Hungarians are under a lot of pressure before the next meeting, as they also lost the last ten games in the Eisarena Salzburg. In addition, the reigning champions are unbeaten at home for twelve games. In the playoffs, the two teams have met twice so far, in both cases Salzburg won game three.

Sun, 12.03.2023, 17:30: HC TIWAG Innsbruck - spusu Vienna Capitals
Referees: GROZNIK, OFNER, Bärnthaler, Nothegger | >> PPV-Livestream <<
Standings in the "best-of-7" series: 1:1

HC TIWAG Innsbruck tied the series with a 4:0 win at STEFFL Arena. Decisive for the success was a compact defense, strong penalty killing, efficiency in the offense and an outstanding René Swette. The 34-year-old recorded the Sharks' first shutout in more than five years. This was the first time in the four playoff series with the Caps that the Tyroleans did not fall behind 0:2 in the series. In the three series completed so far, the Viennese always won the third game. Head coach Dave Barr's team walked off the ice victorious twice out of three duels in Innsbruck this season.

Sun, 12.03.2023, 17:30: EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV - EC-KAC
Referees: K. NIKOLIC, PIRAGIC, Hribar, Seewald | >> PULS 24 LIVE <<
Standings in the "best-of-7" series: 1:1

Thanks to a strong team performance with a great JP Lamoureux in goal, VSV won 4:0 in Klagenfurt on Friday and tied the quarterfinal series. This was the second win in a row for the Villach side at the KAC, something the eagles had last achieved in the 2015/16 season. In Villach, on the other hand, the Redcoats have not yet been defeated in regulation time this campaign: a 4:5 loss after penalty shootout at the beginning of December was followed just under three weeks later by a 4:3 and in the first quarterfinal on Tuesday by a 4:0 away win. The statistics also speak in favor of the Klagenfurt team in game three: the record champion has been confronted with a 1-1 tie in a "best-of-seven" format 21 times so far, and in twelve of these cases it decided the series in its favor. In contrast, only six blue-white victories resulted from 17 such situations. For the KAC, Kele Steffler, Niki Kraus, Matt Fraser and Manuel Ganahl are questionable.

Sun, 12.03.2023, 18:00: HCB Südtirol Alperia - Steinbach Black Wings Linz
Referees: M. NIKOLIC, STERNAT, Snoj, Zgonc | >> PPV-Livestream <<
Standings in the "best-of-7" series: 1:1

The Steinbach Black Wings Linz recorded their first win in the quarterfinal series against HCB Südtirol Alperia on Friday. The Upper Austrians won 2:1 in front of their home crowd, with Emilio Romig providing the eye-catching game-winner in the 53rd minute. Now the series moves back to Bolzano, where the Foxes have won twelve of their last 13 home games. Head coach Glen Hanlon's top-seeded team has had the upper hand in all three home games against Linz this season, and the South Tyroleans have won a total of eight of their past duels with the Black Wings at Palaonda. The two teams have met three times in the playoffs so far, with HCB winning game three twice.
