Riku-Petteri Lehtonen will lead Rittner Buam into another season

Rittner Buam continue with Head Coach Riku-Petteri Lehtonen in the 2018/19-season as well and have presented Fin Janne Saavalainen as their new Assistant Coach. Fin Riku-Petteri Lehtonen continues working as Rittner Buam‘s Head Coach in the 2018/19-season as well. The 47-year old Fin has led the Italians to the title 2017 and into the finals 2018. Janne Saavalainen becomes the new Assistant Coach in Ritten. The 45-year old Fin coached Kongsvinger in Norway last season.
 
Reliable scorer for Lustenau
EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau has signed reliable scorer David Labrecque. The 28-year old Canadian played for different clubs in France since 2012: David Labrecque has gone for goals and points for Lyon 2017/18, scoring 45 points (17G/28A; PIM: 91) out of 44 games. The forward won two French Championships with Briancon 2014 and with GAP 2017 and he earned two Cup titles (with Briancon 2013 and with Lyon 2018) in France as well. And watch out: His first games in Europe David Labrecque made for EC Red Bull Salzburg in the European Trophy 2011/12. The Canadian is the last new signing in Lustenau for the 2018/19-season.
 
Rimmer returns into the Alps Hockey League, Captain stays in Kitzbühel
EC „Die Adler“ Stadtwerke Kitzbühel have presented Ty Rimmer as their new goalie. The 26-year old Canadian is already best known in the Alps Hockey League. Rimmer started his Europe-career with WSV Sterzing Broncos Weihenstephan 2016/17, he had a save% of 92,1 and a GAA of 2.36 out of 31 games. Past season, Rimmer has guarded the net of the Greenville Swamp Rabbits in the East Cost Hockey League. Besides, Captain Peter Lenes will go for goals and points for Kitzbühel  in the upcoming season as well. The 32-year old forward had 23 points (10G/13A) out of 21 games last season.
 
Klagenfurt trusts in young Austrian players
The young Austrians Michael Kernberger, Ramón Schnetzer, Kele Steffler, Dennis Sticha, Philipp Kreuzer and Marcel Witting (returns from VEU Feldkirch to Klagenfurt) will play for EC-KAC II in the upcoming season. Kernberger, Schnetzer and Steffler are defensemen, while Sticha, Kreuzer and Witting are forwards. Each player will get his chance in the first team playing in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga as well.
