Ritten and Broncos in lockstep at the top of the league table

The Rittner Buam and Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan were able to win their matches on Thursday and remain at the top of the league table with 18 points. The last year's finalists of the AHL, HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana and the HC Pustertal Wölfe also celebrated victories. Also successful were the HC Gherdeina valgardena.it and EK The Zeller Eisbären.

Pustertal with clear away win in Vienna
The HC Pustertal Wölfe celebrated a clear 3:0 away win at the Vienna Capitals Silver. The runner-up of the past season thus celebrated the fourth victory of the season. In the first period, the league rookie from Vienna was doing well. There were no goals scored in it. But only 36 seconds after restart John Lewis scored the important 0:1 for Pustertal. In the sequel Pusteria was superior and could add two more goals.

Val Gherdeina overcomes Jesenice
HC Gherdeina valgardena.it was able to celebrate a victory abroad too. The South Tyroleans won 2:1 at HDD Acroni Jesenice. Already in the fifth minute of the game Val Gardena took the lead. Although Jesenice were the better team in terms of top chances, the South Tyroleans increased to 0:2 in the 25th minute. In the 38th minute the Slovenians got one back but weren´t able to equalise the game.

Defending champion Ljubljanan is gaining momentum
Alps Hockey League defending champion HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana climbed to third place in the league table thanks to a 4:1 home wictory over the Red Bull Hockey Juniors. It was the fifth victory from the last six games for the Slovenians. The hosts from Ljubljana already set the tone for victory in the first period. They won it with 2:0. The other goals all fell in the last five minutes of the game.

Zeller Eisbären celebrate victory in Klagenfurt
The EK Die Zeller Eisbären turned a 0:2 deficit at the EC-KAC II to a clear 7:2 away win. After ten minutes, the hosts from Carinthia already led 2:0. In the sequel, however, almost only the visiting team from Zell am See played. After 32 minutes, the polar bears were able to turn the game completely. In the last ten minutes of the game, they were able to ensure a very clear result with four more goals. The KAC II slips more and more in the table cellar after a strong start of the season. Currently they are in 15th place. EKZ occupies the seventh place in the league table.

Broncos with a clear away win at EC Bregenzerwald
The Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan remain in second place thanks to a 6:2 home win over the EC Bregenzerwald. It was already the sixth victory in the seventh season game for the Broncos. Bregenzerwald, however, conceded the fifth defeat in the sixth season game. Already after 33 minutes Wipptal led 5:1 and set the course for victory.

Ritten remains top of the league
The Rittner Buam remain at the top of the league table thanks to a 5:2 victory at the Fassa Falcons. However, the lead in the game was scored by the home team. In the 27th minute Fassa took the lead. It was only about two minutes later that Ritten tied the game, but only 30 seconds later, the Falcons took the lead again. From this point, however, the league leaders predominantly took over the command and could finally win the game with 5:2.
