In the quarterfinals of the Alps Hockey League on Tuesday, with Regular Season champion Rittner Buam SkyAlps and the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan two teams have the chance of reaching the semifinals. In the other two series, the Red Bull Hockey Juniors and last year's finalist S.G. Cortina Hafro are 2:1 up after three games. All four Tuesday games are available on valcome.tv from 19:30.

The EC Bregenzerwald needs a win against regular season champion Rittner Buam SkyAlps. The visitors from South Tyrol have the first chance to reach the semifinals on Tuesday. In their previous matches, the "Buam" have won 4:1, 2:1/OT and 5:0. The outstanding player in all three duels was goalkeeper Colin Furlong, who saved a total of 109 out of 111 shots on his goal. Bregenzerwald has been waiting for a win for six games now. Ritten have been unbeaten since January 25th and thirteen games.

It is also the game of the last chance for the EK Die Zeller Eisbären. Like Bregenzerwald, the team from Pinzgau is trailing 0:3. It is only the second time in league history that the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan have won three games in a row against Zell am See. In the Regular Season, the "Polar Bears" won three out of four encounters. After Sterzing won the first two games after overtime, they prevailed 5:2 in game three. Salzburg struggled to a 3:2/OT win at the start of the series, while the young bulls celebrated a clear 7:1 victory in game three. In between, Unterland won with 3:0. The Cavaliers have been unbeaten in front of their home crowd for eight games. Their last home defeat was on December 28 against Jesenice. Salzburg have only won one of their last five away games.

Playoff newcomer HC Meran/o Pircher celebrated their first win in the quarterfinals on Saturday, the score against last year's finalist S.G. Cortina Hafro is 1:2. The "Eagles" prevailed 4:2 in Cortina. The game was still tied 2:2 until four and a half minutes before the end, before Sebastian Thaler scored to make it 3:2 for the visitors. It was the striker's first goal since December 26. Cortina won the other two games in the series 5:1 and 5:0. Merano has recently struggled in front of the home crowd. They also conceded a home defeat in the pre-playoffs against Kitzbühel (2:3/OT). Overall, the South Tyroleans have only won four of their last ten games at home. Cortina have won all of their last three away games. In the Meranarena, they were victorious in three of four AHL duels. Only in the Regular Season of this season the HCM narrowly prevailed 4:3.
