Ritten Captain Simon Kostner enters his 13th season

Eight Alps Hockey League clubs have announced new signings and/or contract extensions over the past few days. Among them are the Rittner Buam SkyAlps, where captain Simon Kostner will remain with the two-time champions for his 13th season.

Rittner Buam SkyAlps
Ritten veteran and captain Simon Kostner will continue to suit up for the South Tyroleans next season. For the club legend, it will be his 13th season with the Rittner Buam SkyAlps and his sixth wearing the captain’s “C”. With 652 appearances, he is the longest-serving “Bua” on the current roster and ranks third on the club’s all-time games played list behind Emanuel Scelfo and Dan Tudin. In those 652 games, Kostner has recorded 570 points, including 215 goals.

Leonardo Felicetti will also remain with the South Tyroleans. The 26-year-old forward is set to enter his second season in Klobenstein after posting 35 points last season.

Hockey Unterland Cavaliers
The South Tyroleans signed three more players for the upcoming season: Italian goaltender Mike Reinalter, who moves from Eppan to Neumarkt, Canadian forward Nicolas Ardanaz, who is making his first move to Europe after playing at Northern Michigan University, and 29-year-old Finnish offensive player Lauri Heino, who spent last season with Ferencvárosi TC in Hungary.

Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel
Kitzbühel secured the services of 22-year-old Slovenian forward Jakob Pečnik, who spent the past two seasons with league rival Jesenice. Prior to that, he played one season in Celje. In 103 Alps Hockey League games so far, the forward has recorded 20 points. The Tyroleans also extended the contract of Lukas Waschnig. The 21-year-old from Klagenfurt is set to enter his third season in the Kitzbühel jersey.

EK Die Zeller Eisbären
Aljaž Predan will also continue playing for Zell am See next season. The 25-year-old center was transferred from Steinbach Black Wings Linz to the Polar Bears during last season and collected 14 points in 19 appearances. It is now official that he will remain with the Pinzgau club for the upcoming campaign. Predan had already appeared for Zell am See during the 2025 playoffs and celebrated the club’s first championship title with the Polar Bears. In addition to Predan, the contract of 31-year-old Sebastian Zauner has also been extended. For the defenseman, it will be his second season in Zell am See.

HC Meran/o Pircher
28-year-old forward David Trivellato will continue chasing goals with the Eagles. With 30 points last season, he was among Merano’s top scorers and played a major role in the team’s runner-up finish. “Trive” is now set for his fifth season in black and white.

Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan
Sterzing strengthened its defense by signing 20-year-old blueliner Hugo Hell, who is leaving his native Sweden for the first time in his career.

S.G. Cortina Hafro
Cortina continues to rely on Tommaso Alverá. For the 26-year-old forward, it will already be his tenth Alps Hockey League season with Cortina. In 333 appearances so far, he has recorded 118 points.

KHL Sisak
The Croatian club recently extended the contracts of forward Luka Bodiroga and defenseman Niko Cavlovic.
