Ritten confirms lead in top game

In the final round before the November break the Rittner Buam confirmed the lead of the league in the top game against Jesenice. Ljubljana is the first persecutor after the close win against Asiago.

EC-KAC II – FBI VEU Feldkirch 0:5 (0:1; 0:1; 0:3)
Feldkirch had the better start into the game, already in the first minute the guests has a big chance for the lead. In the fifths minute Patrick Ratz succeeded with a blueliner for the first goal of the evening and the lead for Feldkirch. Moritz Geier missed a big chance for tie, shortly before the end of the first period. In the second period Valentin Ploner had the best chance for KAC goal this night, but couldn’t convert. Martin Mairitsch acted more efficient, he increased the lead with a beautiful goal to 2:0. The young red jackets had numerous chances for the first goal in the following. But Caffi proofed his reactions and kept his hands clean. The first two periods the KAC followed the pace of Feldkirch, but in the final period the guests even increased the intensity. First Smail Samardžić scored the 3:0, after that Dániel Fekete and Dylan Stanley created the result of 5:0 for Feldkirch.
 
Red Bull Hockey Juniors – EC Bregenzerwald 2:1 (2:0, 0:0, 0:1)
Salzburg started with high pressure into the game. The firs goals was executed by Carl Zimmermann who converted a rebound in the sixth minute. Only two minutes later Christop Wappis increased the lead to 2:0. Dalzburg hat also a slight advantage in the beginning of the second period. But the longer the second period lasted, the better Bregenzerwald played. But they weren’t able to score their first goal still in the second period. Bregenzwerwald started the last perod with six minutes powerplay. But still no goals. When both team were in equal strengths again the game was played on an even level. Both teams had good chanced an the two goalies shined in the phase of the game. 172 seconds before the end of the game Kauppila succeeded with a stron shot for the first goal of his team. In the following Salzburg had the possibility to score in powerplay and later in emptiy net situation. At the end Salzburg won with 2:1.
 
EK Zeller Eisbären – HC Gherdeina valgardena.it 3:0 (3:0, 0:0, 0:0)
Right from the beginning the hosts started with high pressure and controlled the game. Defender Frederik Widen striked twice within four minutes. Gherdeina struggled in finding their rhythm. Dlorian Dinhopel increased to 3:0. After that Gherdeina came into the game and created a couple chances. In the second period Zell took out the speed of the game, but kept their nerves. The guests managed to increase the pressure and they created big chances for the first goal, but Dominik Franz kept his hands cleaned. Both teams seemed to be exhausted in the final period. Gherdeina didn’t manage to score. The game ended 3:0 for Zell am See.
 
WSV Sterzing Broncos Weihenstephan – EC „Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel 6:3 (1:0; 4:3; 1:0)
Surely the home team controlled the game in the first period thanks to the first goal that arrived after 7 minutes of play during the first powerplay. To tell the truth, it was the Austrian team to build a clamorous opportunity for a mistake in the defense of the Broncos. Kitzbühel didnt’ score and on the continuation of the action there was Luca Felicetti's goal. When were missing less two minutes from the end of the period, the first line of home team went close to the second goal: fast action Bahensky-Duffy but Danny Deanesi then didn’t succeed. The second period was all another story and there were 7 goal. The hosts took off as they scored 3 goals in just 3 minutes (from 23. to 26.): Jure Sotlar (in powerplay), Fabian Hackhofer and Ben Duffy. The match seemed to be over. Instead, the Broncos fell asleep and the Tyrolean team took advantage of it after middle-time. Lukas Bär scored the first goal for the guests in 2-man advantage at the end of a scrum. Then the protagonist was Swedish striker Henrik Heriksson who made two goals in just 22 seconds. After 36 minutes, only a difference goal divided the two teams. Then David Saringer made an error as he gave the puck to his opponents: Zdenek Bahensky went to make the fifth goal for the Broncos (37th) in a very simple way. During the third period the home team avoided mistakes like in the second period as they controlled the opponents. Matthias Mantinger fixed the final result with the goal in the empty net (6:3) in the last minute of the game. Vipiteno returned to victory after two defeats.
 
HC Pustertal Wölfe – HC Neumarkt Riwega 4:0 (2:0; 0:0; 2:0)
The game was immediately opened with a big opportunity for Michael Sullmann who missed the goal after a counterattack. Then home team played a great first time as they exerted a constant pressure on the opponent's defense. So after some occasions didn’t exploit, Brunico's first goal come during the first powerplay: Nick Bruneteau's lead was a shot under the crossbar. Two minutes later, the Wolves doubled the result thanks to perfect assist of Sean Ringorose for Eric Pance's goal. Yellow-back team closed in advantage the first time (2:0). During the second period there weren’t goals. Brunico administered the advantage as they didn’t take risks. Egna tried to get back into the game but it failed. In the last period, the hosts achieved an opening goal with Max Oberrauch and a closing goal with Sean Ringorse for final result of 4:0. This was the 2th consecutive victory for Brunico with interim coach Ivo Machacka. Thomas Tragust earned his second seasonal shutout.
 
HC Fassa Falcons – Sportivi Ghiaccio Cortina Hafro 3:6 (0:2; 2:2; 1:2)
The game immediately became very interesting. After a minute there was the goal of Francesco De Biasio with a diagonal mid-distance shot. Then Cortina doubled with Diego Iori, but the goal was actually a deflection with skate by defender Cesare Sottsas. During the second period Cortina went to the top of the result with Zach Torquato after a minute of play. Then there was the Fassa reaction that shortened the distance with Eetu Heikkinen after 26 seconds. Then Samuel Rothstein put the puck under the crossbar during a double powerplay. Now the game was open. Right at the best time of the Falcons, it arrived Zachary Torquato's goal (in powerplay). During the third time Fassa tried to reopen the race but without success. Riley Brace scored in powerplay with a shot from blu line. Riccardo Lacedelli brought the 6th and final goal for the guest. When missing a second from the end of the game, youngest Marco Marzolini found the third goal of the Falcons. Cortina won 6:3 as they came back to victory. 
 
Rittner Buam – HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice (20:00) 5:2 (2:0; 1:0; 2:2)
Renon confirmed leader of the Alps Hockey League after beating Jesenice for 5:2. The "Buam" now lead the standings with 39 points, seven lengths ahead of the Slovene formations of Ljubljana and Jesenice. Renon's coach, Riku Lehtonen, couldn’t count on Andreas Alber, Max Ploner and Johannes Fauster. Despite the absences, Ritten was better as they took the lead after 13 minutes. Oscar Ahlström scored in powerplay (Miha Logar was punished) after a perfect assist of Captain Christian Borgatello for 1: 0. 84 seconds from the first whistle, Ritten doubled with Markus Spinell.In the second period the home team then scored the third goal. This time the scorer was Thomas Spinell. At 43.10 Julian Kostner also made 4:0 for the home team that began to enjoy the victory. Seven minutes from the end Gasper Glavic defeated Patrick Killeen in powerplay for 1: 4, and only 126 seconds later the Slovenes shortened the distance with Tadej Cimzar, who once again in numerical superiority made 2:4.  When missing 35 seconds from the final whistle, Julian Kostner fixed the final result, scoring 5:2. 

Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935 – HK SZ Olimpija 3:4 (1.2; 1:1; 1:1)
The game was very fought since the first faceoff. Ljubljana was more concrete as they scored two goals in a minute (5.). The first goal was a shot by Miha Zajc in diagonal and then with a shot from the distance of Nik Grahut. Asiago resumed in the final as they halved the disadvantage with Anthony Bardaro's net (18th). In the second half, Asiago accelerated and put pressure on the Slovene defense. But Ljubljana found the third goal with Crt Snoj. Asiago answered immediately with Giulio Scandella. Then Ljubljana's goalkeeper, Robert Kristan, made great saves that allowed the guest team to keep the pace. In the third time, Ljubljana returned early to goal with Uros Batic. The Asiago moved again to a goal after 47 minutes with Enrico Miglioranzi with a shotl under the crossbar. Then in the end of the match everything happened but Ljubljana won for 4:3 thanks to Kristan's saves.  Ljubljana took the second place in the standings, surpassing Asiago and Jesenice.
