The Rittner Buam SkyAlps celebrated a 2-1 home victory over S.G. Cortina Hafro, as the South Tyroleans thus scored in their fifth consecutive game, winning four of them - and ended Cortina's winning streak. The Italians, who remain in third place, had gone unbeaten for seven games. However, their lead over the fifth-placed "Buam" is now only five points. Marco Insam (42.) was responsible for the decision in a high-class game: After Simon Kostner's face-off, Cardwell passed to Insam, who scored from distance. With 34 saves, Ritten goalkeeper Hayden Hawkey also put in a strong performance.

„Eisbären“ win on Flanagan debut
Mike Flanagan celebrated a successful debut as Head Coach of EK Die Zeller Eisbären. The Salzburg side won 4-3 away at HC Gherdeina valgardena.it and ended their five-game losing streak. With the third win over Val Gardena (#7) in a row, the "Eisbären", still in sixth place, kept one of their fiercest competitors for the top-5 at bay. Four points are between these two teams. Zell am See's gap to fifth place is three points. Until ten minutes before the end, the Austrians showed a good game, led 4-1. The final offensive of the "Furie" came, but did not finally strike.

HC Meran/o wins sixth straight home game
HC Meran/o Pircher also won its sixth home game of the current season, as the South Tyroleans prevailed 5-4 against EHC Lustenau, which thus suffered their third defeat in a row away from home. Meran/o had to come back from a deficit three times and let themselves take an advantage at the beginning of the final period before Lucas Chiodo sank the game-winner 42 seconds before the end. While five players scored for the South Tyroleans, the Lustenau goals were scored by Lucas Haberl and Mads Larsen (two each).

Fassa upsets fourth-ranked Unterland
SHC Fassa Falcons celebrated a surprising 6-3 win at home over Hockey Unterland Cavaliers. The home team initially let a two-goal advantage slip away, but then pulled away to 5-2 with three goals inside the final six minutes of the second period, laying the foundation for their eighth win of the season. Edgar de Toni scored the first goal of the night and he ended up being the game's top scorer with two assists. Fassa nevertheless remains in 13th place. The Cavaliers are only six points out of sixth place after their eighth loss of the season.
