Rittner Buam SkyAlps, Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel and HC Meran/o Pircher have strengthened their rosters for the upcoming Alps Hockey League season with targeted additions. Several other teams also confirmed contract extensions.

Rittner Buam SkyAlps
Ritten have signed well-known forward Miro Markkula. The Finnish player, who previously spent two seasons with the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers, recently impressed with 62 points in 51 games in Germany’s third division and is expected to boost the Blue-Red offense. The two-time AHL champion has also extended the contract of veteran Marco Insam.

KHL Sisak
Sisak extended the contract of Slovenian forward Tjaš Lesničar, who recorded 31 points in 34 games and particularly excelled in the playoffs. Defenseman Lovro Slovinac will also remain with the team and is set to enter his third season after 66 appearances, taking on an increasingly important role on defense.

HC Migross Asiago
Asiago continue to rely on goaltender Riccardo Santangelo. With his consistency, professionalism and team spirit, he has established himself as a key presence and will once again guard the net in the 2026/27 season.

Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan
Sterzing continues to count on Alexander Brunner, who is entering his sixth season with the club. The 24-year-old defenseman has played 195 games so far and has developed into a consistent and reliable force on the Wild Horses’ blue line. The club also announced a contract extension with Johannes Gschnitzer, who, despite his young age, is already entering his eighth season with the Broncos.

Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel
Kitzbühel strengthen their defense with experienced Austrian Bernhard Posch from EC Bregenzerwald. Up front, speedy Swedish forward Elliot Stahlberg joins the team, while Johannes Aigner remains part of the roster.

Hafro Cortina Hockey
Cortina rely on continuity in goal and have confirmed Aldo Pompanin for the upcoming season. The homegrown player has impressed with his development and remains an important figure for the club as well as a dependable last line of defense.

HC Meran/o Pircher
Merano will have a new face between the pipes in Thomas Couture. The Canadian goaltender brings international experience, won the Memorial Cup and most recently posted strong save percentages in university hockey. In addition, Merano strengthen their offense with talented South Tyrolean forward Nathan Garau, who most recently played for Asiago.

Hockey Unterland Cavaliers
Unterland have signed young forward Patrick Mazzarini, who is looking to take the next step in his career after stints both domestically and abroad. At the same time, defenseman Alessio Guerra remains with the team, continuing to provide stability and physical presence on the blue line.
