Rittner Buam continue winning streak

 In Wednesdays only Alps Hockey League game the Rittner Buam celebrated a 8:4 win over EC Bregenzerwald. It was already the 11th consecutive success of the 2017th Champions. Olegs Sislannikovs and Alex Frei scored three goals each for the guests.

Referees: DURCHNER, LEGA, Reisinger, Vignolo.
 
The two teams delivered an attractive battle in the first period. The Buam succeeded with a quick start. Alex Frei opened the scoring after only 55 seconds. Both teams created plenty of chances in the first period. But it needed 16 more minutes till one of the two goalies was beaten again. Olegs Sislannikovs doubled the lead after assist of Ivan Tauferer. But the hosts had the right answer. Henrik Neubauer recreated the one goal deficit two minutes later in powerplay. In the second period Ritten hat again a great start. They scored three goals in the first three minutes of the second period. This time it needed only 24 seconds in the period till Sislannikovs scored his second goal of the night. Alexander Eisath and Sislannikovs for the third time created the 5:1. Bregenzerwald fought again back. Kai Fässler and Mikko Virtanen narrowed the gap to 3:5. But Ritten stroke back still in the second. Simon Kostner and Alex Frei ended a seven-goals-period with two more for Ritten. Bregenzerwald still didn’t give up and Daniel Ban opened the final period with the 4:7 in powerplay. But Ritten did a good job in defending the lead and Alex Frei created the result of 8:4 in the 59th minute.
