Rob Daum new head coach of the VSV I Contract extension from Hundertpund at EC-KAC

Two days after the announcement of the separation from head coach Jyrki Aho, the leader of the Qualification Round, the EC Panaceo VSV, presented a new head coach with Rob Daum. The 62-year-old Canadian is well known in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga. Between 2011 and 2017 he was manager of the EHC Liwest Black Wings Linz. In his first season (2011-2012), he even became champion with the Upper Austrians. The EC-KAC didn´t announce a transfer, but a further contract extension. Thomas Hundertpfund, who is currently playing his 13th season for Klagenfurt, will play for the defending champion of the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga until the season 2021/22.

On February 3rd, the EC Panaceo VSV surprisingly announced the separation from head coach Jyrki Aho despite leading the Qualification Round. With Rob Daum an extremely experienced coach is returning to the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga and will manage Villach until the end of the season. “Rob Daum is an absolute hockey specialist and an excellent tactician who knows the league very well and has enormous international experience. I am happy that we were able to win him over to the VSV and I am convinced that we will reach the playoffs together, ” chairman Gerald Rauchwald said.

For Rob Daum, the VSV is the second management post in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga. Between 2011 and 2017 he already managed the EHC Liwest Black Wings Linz, with which he won the title in his first season (2011-2012). With 237 victories, he is still the most successful coach in the history of the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga.

Contract extension from Hundertpund at EC-KAC

After the contract extension with Johannes Bischofberger on Tuesday, the EC-KAC announced another contract extension with Thomas Hundertpfund on Wednesday. The top scorer of the KAC signed a new working paper until the season 2021/22. The center is currently contesting his 13th season for Klagenfurt. The 30-year-old has scored 305 points in 652 games so far.
